My name is Suzanne and I am from England.

After leaving high school, I spent 2 years studying childcare and education at Wigan and Leigh college.  I then worked in nurseries and early years settings in England for 20 years. During this time I also gained my BA Hons degree in Children and Families from the University of Central Lancashire. I also completed multiple training courses while in England, such as first aid, phonics, school readiness (plus many more).

After 20 years of teaching in England,  I completed the level 5 TEFL qualification (teaching English as a foreign language) and I decided to leave England to teach in Indonesia.  In Indonesia I taught English to children from 2 years old to adults.

During the pandemic, I relocated to Slovakia. I taught in an English language school in Banska Bystrica for one year before moving to Bratislava.  This is my third year of working with Elite English and teaching at Gercenova and I am really enjoying my time here. I have recently started my PGCE which I aim to complete by Easter 2024.

I understand that all children are unique and I hope to provide all children with various learning opportunities so that each child may grow and develop to their full potential. I am really excited to start delivering English lessons in the kindergarten.
